Service Advisor

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Service Advisor.


Essential Duties of the Service Advisor (but are not limited to):

  • Customer Relations
    • Establish rapport and determine/attend to customers' needs in person and on the phone
    • Ability to explain systems and repairs to customers of varying levels of technical understanding
    • Encourage vehicle service/maintenance and problem prevention with customers
    • Capable of handling dissatisfied customers and customers who are unsure of repairs and costs of service
    Interdepartmental Relations
    • Effectively communicate with all other departments in the dealership and establish good working relationship – especially Technicians
    Collecting Diagnostic Information and Quality Auditing
    • Thoroughly document vehicle problems reported by customer and ask probing questions to better determine issue(s) and recommend services
    • Road-test customer vehicles to confirm problems and after service, to ensure that repairs have been completed
    Process Service Information
    • Listening to customers describe vehicle problems, determining the appropriate work involved in the repairs, and accurately recording problems and authorized repairs on work orders so that the Technician understands what to do
    • Effectively work with numbers, mathematics and high dollar amounts
    Scheduling
    • Communicate warranty/service policies and accurately estimate time of service/repair jobs for efficient scheduling.


Qualifications of the Service Advisor (Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required):

• Previous Advisor experience required
• Valid driver's license
